The 20 October 2018 is an important date for the countries participating in Expo 2020 Dubai: we are two years away from Expo 2020, the first Universal Exhibition to be held in an Arab country, five years after the 2015 Expo in Milan.
To celebrate the countdown, several partners of the Italian Commissioner General’s Office have organised events and initiatives throughout the country to communicate the collaboration themes and promote Italy’s participation in the 2020 event.
A major highlight will be the projects of the partners of the Italian Commissioner General’s Office for Expo 2020 Dubai: the entities involved come from the academic, scientific, business, culture and creativity, sports and media sectors (click here to view the full partner list).
The schedule will intensify over the forthcoming months, involving all Italian territories to create an overall project that will bring Italy to one of the most long-awaited events of the next decade.
Public events, art exhibitions, scientific and cultural conferences, festivals, shows and many other events will chart Italy’s course towards Expo 2020 Dubai. The aim is to increase people’s awareness of the event and arouse their attention and participation in relation to the topic chosen by Dubai for the event – “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” – which mobilises the world on how collaboration between peoples can help to build a better future.
The Exhibition, which falls on the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the United Arab Emirates, is expected to draw 25 million visitors, mainly coming from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.
