The impact of digitalisation is at the forefront of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by Italy’s Commissioner General for Expo 2020 Dubai, Paolo Glisenti, and the Italian Minister Paola Pisano.
International cooperation on issues related to the digital transition and the development of Italy’s technological skills are in fact the main points of the agreement which aims to promote a broad dialogue with national and international institutions and with multilateral organisations present at the Universal Exposition. The focus is therefore on the impact of digitalisation for sectors such as robotics, mobility, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
The collaboration between Italy’s Commissioner’s Office and the Italian Minister for Technological Innovation and Digitalisation will develop during Expo Dubai’s exhibition semester – starting on 1 October, 2021 – and in the period preceding it, with joint projects and initiatives aimed at developing Italy’s skills and best practices in the field of digitalisation and technological infrastructures. The programmes will be in tune with the theme of the Dubai Universal Exposition “Connecting minds, creating the future and with that of the Italy Pavilion at Expo: “Beauty connects people”.
