The challenge began on Wednesday 25 November with the first pitch session - that can be watched on the Italian Commissioner's Office Youtube channel, from 3 p.m. - which gathered the first 11 teams: each team had up to 5 minutes to present their draft proposal on the future of education. Each session saw also the participation of the Italy Pavilion's 30 peer mentors who followed and accompanied the teams during the challenge's methodological workflow.
65 teams crossed the finish line of the #DigitalChallenge “Future Education”, promoted by the Italian Commissioner’s Office for Expo 2020 Dubai, in collaboration with Unesco Education and RewirED – the next world education summit.
Organised in teams, representing maximum heterogeneity in terms of geographical, school and university origins, the more than 500 participants were involved for four weeks (from 24 October to 24 November), in a unique project acceleration path in the digital arena: the goal was to imagine, propose and test innovative solutions capable of rethinking the future of education with courage and foresight.
The live session programme then continues without any breaks, every day, until Monday 30th November, always with an afternoon appointment on the Youtube channel at 3 p.m.
The pitch sessions represented a fundamental step for short-listing finalist teams and then the winners that will be announced in December as part of the final event of the entire route.
