The Lavazza Group and the Commissioner General’s Office for Italy at Expo 2020 Dubai have signed a partnership which boosts the innovation and sustainability project promoted by Italy through the country’s participation in next year’s Universal Exhibition.
As Platinum Sponsor, Lavazza will feature with its products and services in the Italy Pavilion for the entire duration of the Exhibition which, after being postponed, will start on 1st October 2021 and end on 31st March 2022. As the Official Coffee, Lavazza will bring a renowned “Made in Italy” excellence to the heart of the first Expo to be held in an Arab country and in the MENASA (Middle East, North Africa, South Asia) region.
The Lavazza cafeteria in Dubai was specifically designed to offer visitors to the Expo a “Sustainable Coffee Experience”, thanks to the use of the finest products and technologies developed by Lavazza. For example, the facility will serve washed Arabica blends of the Lavazza ¡Tierra! range, a refined coffee that respects nature and local cultures derived from sustainable agriculture certified by the Rainforest Alliance, an international non-profit organisation that promotes the adoption of environmentally sustainable agricultural practices and guarantees decent living conditions for coffee farmers.
The symbol of the Lavazza cafeteria inside the Italy Pavilion will be a giant Solar Moka, created to present an emission-free preparation process which, thanks to the use of solar energy, will be used for heating the water necessary for serving coffee to visitors.
