How it is now and what it’ll look like. With a series of photos and renders arranged in a gallery, the online newspaper Fanpage reports the progress of the works for the Italy Pavilion on the site of the Universal Exhibition in Dubai, which will open its gates on 1st October 2021.
The pavilion “is nearing completion: with the positioning of the central section of the skywalk, more than 20 metres long, the works involving the structure have almost been completed. The box, the main element of the suspended exhibition route, has been put in place”, explains the article.
Moreover, the structures of the sand dune have been completed: the element will cover roughly 2,000 square metres of exhibition space and will function as the base for the Belvedere dome and the Theatre of Memory. The next step, in September, will concern the works to complete the roof, the catenary elements and the laying of the hulls.
