2020, the year of Expo Dubai, is starting on a positive note for anyone who wants to visit the United Arab Emirates: measures approved during the year’s first government meeting will allow the UAE to introduce a new system for tourist visas that will remain valid for five years. The system will allow visitors of every nationality to cross the border several times during this period. The decision is aimed “at establishing the country as a leading global tourist destination,” Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid explained in a tweet.

The current tourist visa system in the UAE allows several entries into the country over a period of up to 90 days.
