Expo 2020 Dubai will be a great opportunity for Italian companies. This was the prevailing sentiment at the “One year to go: the business system at Expo 2020” event organised by the Institute for Foreign Commerce (ICE) in Rome, which focused the spotlight on the interesting opportunities offered by the Emirati market, the business climate for SMEs and the initiatives that will be staged in Dubai during the Universal Exhibition.
The event was attended by Manlio Di Stefano, Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Ali Khalifa Al Nuaimi of the Ministry of Economic Development and of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Italy; Carlo Ferro, President of the ICE Agency; Paolo Glisenti, General Commissioner for Italy at Expo Dubai, and Davide Rampello, Project Designer of the Italy Pavilion.
Expo 2020 will afford an opportunity for promoting “Made in Italy” production in the Arab countries, which are growing strongly and are strategic for exports and for attracting investments towards Italy’s innovative small- and medium-sized companies and also for startups.
