The Commissioner General is due to present the Italy Pavilion design for Expo 2020 Dubai at the Sustainable Development Festival.
“The Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will be a great experience-led hub of innovation, an expression of the most advanced forms of sustainability in terms of design, construction, and the way spaces are utilised.”
Paolo Glisenti, General Commissioner for Expo 2020 Dubai, used these words to present the Italian design at the Asvis Sustainable Development Festival in Milan, during the event held on 28th May entitled “Companies and finance for sustainable development. Opportunities to grasp and obstacles to remove”.
The Commissioner confirmed that “the Italy Pavilion will be a model of sustainability and circular economy, an avant-garde prototype in terms of integrated design and the use of durable and natural recycled materials, and in terms of the technologies implemented to minimise energy and water consumption, including systems used to save, collect and recycle water, dispose of waste and reduce noise and light pollution.”
It is a design intended to underline Italy’s commitment to Innovation and Sustainability, with the involvement of universities, research bodies, institutions, communities and businesses.
