Invitalia, on behalf of the Commissioner General’s Office for Italy at Expo 2020 Dubai, has published a Request for Proposal (RFP) aimed at selecting Technical Partners from private, public and research bodies, also through consortiums with companies, that represent Italian know-how and leading, sustainable technological innovation. These will be able to participate directly in creation of the Italy Pavilion through the various forms of contribution defined by applicable legislation and set out in the tender documentation.
The Request for Proposal is aimed at all operators interested in becoming Technical Partners, including those that did not respond to the previous call for Expression of Interest, on 09 November 2019, aimed at assessment of the interest of relevant operators and goods areas.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) follows completion of the international contest and awarding of the Project for the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, with the Concept and initial rendering images being published on the website of the Commissioner’s Office.
As defined in the winning project, the Italy Pavilion shall be an Innovation Hub offering a creative and innovative interpretation of the specific theme selected by Italy: “beauty that connects people”. This will not simply entail an exhibition structure but one that also demonstrates the best of Italian ingenuity, offering visitors an unforgettable experience, and presenting multidisciplinary skills, talent and ingenuity to the world, which can act to promote new educational, professional and business opportunities.
Through this Request for Proposal, the Italy Pavilion shall be created with the contribution of Technical Partners, called to provide the best building, systems, technology and exhibition components, capable of demonstrating the highly innovative capabilities involved today in sustainability, circular economy and digital architecture.
Attached to the Request for Proposal, interested Operators can find the specific goods area with the list of technical components required, to be used in building and commissioning of the Italy Pavilion. In return for their contribution, Technical Partners of the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai will be part of a global showcase that is unique for its reputation and brand building. They will also receive extensive visibility in external, internal and virtual spaces and will be able to undertake co-marketing and B2B and B2C activities during the six months of the event, which is expected to draw some 25 million visitors from all over the world.
