The national Call for becoming a partner and sponsor of the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai was presented at Confindustria. The Call is announced, together with Invitalia, by the Commissioner General’s Office for Italy at Expo 2020 Dubai and follows the launching of the contest for the architectural design of the Pavilion which took place on 23 October. Numerous companies and businesses from all over the country attended the event.
The Commissioner, Paolo Glisenti, commented: “A process of collaboration has begun with Italian companies interested in becoming partners and sponsors of Italy at Expo 2020 Dubai, to turn the forthcoming Universal exhibition into an extraordinary opportunity to showcase our country’s finest expertise with regard to sustainability, innovation and creativity. Over the forthcoming months we will be defining agreements with all companies, big or small, interested in showcasing in Dubai their ability to integrate multidisciplinary skills, know-how, expertise and culture: beauty that connects people is the identifying element that Italy intends bringing to Expo 2020 Dubai, with the aid of our best companies and businesses that have considerable potential for growth and to attract investments in the Middle Eastern, Arab, Asian and North African markets”.
According to the Chairman of Confindustria, Vincenzo Boccia: The “excellence factor” is a crucial competitive advantage for the Italian industrial sector, which is reacting to the crisis and international competition by investing increasingly in what we can term ‘total quality’, that is, the set of production processes, technologies, semi-finished goods, human resources and all the other intermediate factors that combine to form the world’s most renowned and appreciated final product: “Made in Italy”.
The interested companies can participate by contributing as:
- TECHNICAL PARTNERS, through the direct or indirect creation of the pavilion and the supply of goods and services required for its construction and assembly;
- EVENT PARTNERS for the organisation and production of events, exhibitions and shows to be held inside or outside of the pavilion;
- SPONSORS for providing financial support to aid Italy’s participation at the Dubai 2020 Universal Exhibition.
The Call does not give rise to any tender procedure and does not entail any merit rankings or assignment of scores. The full text and all the details for sending the manifestations of interest can be found on https://gareappalti.invitalia.it and http://italyexpo2020.it. The procedure is entirely managed through the Invitalia e-procurement telematic system.
Italy’s partners and sponsors at Expo 2020 Dubai will be able to operate in a global showcase that is unique for its reputation and brand building. They will also be granted extensive visibility on external, internal and virtual spaces and will be able to undertake co-marketing and B2B and B2C activities during the six months of the event, which is expected to draw some 25 million visitors from all over the world.
