Italian companies can become partners and sponsors of the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The idea is to create an “innovation hub” that is not only exhibitive but also capable of embodying and showcasing Italian expertise in the creation and construction of internal and external spaces, reflecting smart building systems and digital architecture and featuring attractive elements to generate a memorable visitor experience.
The call is geared towards searching for partners and sponsors in view of the creation of the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, by collecting manifestations of interest by companies and suppliers of goods and services. The call is announced, together with Invitalia, by the General Commissioner’s Office for Italy at Expo 2020 Dubai and follows the launching of the contest for the architectural design of the pavilion, which took place on 23 October.
The interested companies can participate by contributing as:
- TECHNICAL PARTNERS, through the direct or indirect creation of the pavilion and the supply of goods and services required for its construction and assembly;
- EVENT PARTNERS for the organisation and production of events, exhibitions and shows to be held inside or outside of the pavilion;
- SPONSORS for providing financial support to aid Italy’s participation at the Dubai 2020 Universal Exhibition.
According to the project estimates, over 28 thousand people should visit the Italy Pavilion daily and more than 5 million over the six-month period of the event.
Italy’s partners and sponsors at Expo 2020 Dubai will be able to operate in a global showcase that is unique for its reputation and brand building. They will also be granted extensive visibility on external, internal and virtual spaces and will be able to undertake co-marketing and B2B and B2C activities during the six months of the event, which is expected to draw some 25 million visitors from all over the world.
The Call does not give rise to any tender procedure and does not entail any merit rankings or assignment of scores. The full text and all the details to send the manifestations of interest can be found on www.gareappalti.invitalia.it and http://italiaexpo2020dubai.it. The procedure is entirely managed through the Invitalia e-procurement telematic system.
The Italy Pavilion will be located between the “Opportunities” and “Sustainability” thematic areas within the Expo 2020 Dubai site. Built on a 3,500 m2 area, it will be strategically located to intercept visitor flows leaving the pavilion of the United Arab Emirates (250 metres away) and heading towards North Park, a major green area and meeting point of the entire Expo Dubai exhibition area, where important public events will be held.
