With EXPO Dubai 2020 fast approaching, the Emilia Romagna Regional Authority, along with businesses, major trade associations, universities, trade shows, export consortia and manufacturer and protection consortia, will be on an institutional mission in the United Arab Emirates between 20th and 25th October, to develop the first elements of Emilia Romagna’s participation in the Expo as a region while adhering to national guidelines.
Regional Councillor for Production Palma Costi and Regional Councillor for Agriculture Simona Caselli will also be involved in the trip, which is taking place in partnership with the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai. Plus, the Regional Authority will also attend another meeting in November, organised by Confindustria Ceramica and ICE Dubai to mark the third edition of Dubai Design Week (12th-17th November 2018), and will be taking part in the Italian sector’s expedition in February 2019.
The organisation of the trip is the result of important cooperation and partnerships involving various national and regional institutions: the Conference of Regions, the General Commissioner’s Office for Expo Dubai 2020, the Italian Embassy in the UAE, ICE, regional entrepreneurial associations, Emilia Romagna trade shows, universities, the Ervet and Aster organisations, Ater, protection consortia, export consortia and Fico. In the context of the trip to the Emirates, eight regional companies selected via public procurement procedure and many tens of Emirate companies involved with procurement for Expo 2020 Dubai will come together in a series of b2b meetings.
